EuCNC 2023 & 6G-Summit: Workshop 2, ‘The Role of AI in Edge 6G topologies’

On Tuesday, 6th of June, in the context of the EuCNC & 6G Summit, Adam Filikowski from IS-Wireless Partner, represented 6G-SANDBOX in Workshop 2, ‘The Role of AI in Edge 6G topologies’, with a presentation entitled ‘Edge resources management for a disaggregated open RAN 6G networks’.

6G-SANDBOX and OpenNebula co-organised

On the 8th of May OpenNebula and 6G-SANDBOX co-organized the TechDay Madrid focusing on the use of Opensource for Europe’s next-gen Edge Cloud! Many thanks to all those companies contributing to the different sessions!

In more detail, the OpenNebula Systems team, in collaboration with the 6G-SANDBOX consortium, held a hands-on workshop about using, planning, and deploying a private cloud. The workshop was divided into two parts. The first part covered the main components of a Cloud and the basics of deploying Virtual Machines (VMs). Then, the second part described more advanced concepts on storage, networking, multi tenancy, and capacity management. The workshop ended with a description of the architecture and deployment of Telefonica’s 6G-SANDBOX testbed based on OpenNebula.

EuCNC 2023 – 6G-SANDBOX Overview & Open Call Information Session

We cordially invite you to join 6G-SANDBOX at EuCNC2023 6GSummit2023 for a co-located event (https://www.eucnc.eu/programme/co-located-events/co-located-event-2/), where the 6G-SANDBOX team will present and answer questions about the Open Call for third party experimenters, which was announced on the 24th of April. The presentation will cover an introduction to the 6G-SANDBOX platform, the submission process, the evaluation and how engagement will be done when selected. Technical topics as outlined in the call will also be presented. There will be room for Q&A. Participation to the session is free but registration is required (https://6g-sandbox.eu/oc-1-registration/). The meeting will be hold in a hybrid format for people who are not attending EuCNC 2023. The meeting will be recorded and made available to the registered participants afterwards.

On the 9th-10th of May, the 1st 6G-SANDBOX Plenary meeting took place in Madrid at Telefónica premises. We would like to thank all of the partners for their detailed presentations and excellent talks, which will help the project move forward successfully.

Transfiere2023 forum – Malaga, Feb 2023

Transfiere2023 forum was held in Malaga on the 15th-17th February. Our partners Nokia and Universidad de Málaga participated in the event with booths and their representatives were available to answer all the questions regarding 6G-SANDBOX project. Moreover, Pedro Merino Gomez included 6G-SANDBOX in a panel with Telefonica and #Dekra. UMA, NOKIA and one more partner #OWO took advantage of the event to arrange a working meeting to schedule the RX/Haptics use case for public events.
