6G-SANDBOX to Participate in SNS JU and ESA Joint Workshop on 6G-LINO

The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) and the European Space Agency are pleased to announce the joint workshop “6G-LINO: from Lab Validation to Real-World NTN Trials”, focusing on pioneering 6G experimental initiatives at the intersection of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks (TN/NTN).

The workshop will take place on Thursday, 28 May 2026, from 14:00 to 16:00 CEST and represents the first concrete step in implementing the Memorandum of Intent signed between SNS JU and ESA on 16 October 2025.

Bringing together key stakeholders from the European Commission, the 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association, and representatives from SNS JU project consortia active in TN/NTN integration, the event will explore the evolution of 6G experimentation from laboratory validation to real-world non-terrestrial network trials.

The 6G-SANDBOX project will also participate in the workshop. Project Coordinator Michael Dieudonné will deliver a short presentation highlighting the project’s work and contributions.

6G SNS Vertical Innovations Webinar Series – Third Session on PPDR & EMERGENCY

The projects 6G-SANDBOX, 6G-PATH, and Fidal have launched the 6G SNS Vertical Innovations Webinar Series, a four-part online event dedicated to showcasing innovative use cases and solutions enabled by emerging 6G technologies. All three projects are funded by the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking.

This webinar series highlights how cutting-edge research and experimentation are translating into practical applications with real societal and industrial impact. Selected sub-granted projects will present early results, technical developments, and real-world demonstrations across different vertical sectors.

The third session of the series will focus on #PPDR & #EMERGENCY, exploring how #6G technologies can support emergency services, public protection, and disaster response.

6G-SANDBOX will be featured AT CySat’26 Conference

On 19th – 20th May 2026, Arkadiusz Czuba (Research & Innovation Engineer, IS-Wireless) will be presenting at the CySat’26 conference in Paris. His presentation, is titled: “Scalability and resilience of TN/NTN domains with disaggregated 5G LiquidRAN-the perspective of EU funded research projects”. The presentation is based on and promotes solutions developed within EU-funded research projects, including 6G-SANDBOX project.
