6G-SANDBOX 4th Plenary Meeting in Athens

On the 6th -7th of February the 4th Plenary Meeting took place in Athens at the OTE Group of Companies (HTO) premises and was hosted by Cosmote partner. We would like to thank the Project Coordinator, Michael Dieudonne and the Technical Coordinator, Pedro Merino Gomez, for the meeting coordination and their insights. All the partners had the opportunity to present their tasks and to be part of the round-table debates regarding the evolution of the project. The 2nd day was concluded with the visit at OTE Group of Companies (HTO) ‘s testbed (part of 6G-SANDBOX Athens testbed).

6G-SANDBOX team visits 5G/6G Hub of ESA Connectivity and Secure Communications

On the 24-25th of January 2024 our Project Coordinator, Michael Deudionne (Keysight), our Technical Coordinator, Pedro Merino (UMA) and David Artunedo (Telefonica) visited the 5G/6G Hub, based at the European Space Agency – ESA‘s European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications (ECSAT). During their tour, the 3 representatives of 6G-SANDBOX, had the opportunity to experience augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) and explore the capabilities enabled by innovative uses of 5G and satcom technologies!We are looking forward for further collaboration in the future and thank you for the amazing tour!

SNS JU Trials Working Group Plenary Meeting

On the 11th of December, our project coordinator, Michael Dieudonne, from Keysight, presented 6G-SANDBOX project in the context of the SNS JU Trials Working Group Plenary Meeting.

IEEE GLOBECOM 2023

On the 4th-8th December, IEEE GLOBECOM 2023 took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this context, Chafika Benzaid and Mohammad Farhoudi from University of Oulu, presented 5 conference papers. These papers were presented in the context of the following Sessions:

MWN 1: ADVANCES IN 5G/6G NETWORKS I

IS 3: Interactive Subsession CT_I3

CISS 2: AI-AIDED SECURITY I

SAC/CC 4: Network Slicing in 5G

6G-SANDBOX 1st OPEN CALL STATISTICS

During the Open Call Period (submission deadline 23rd of June), we received 36 Proposals in total.

The proposals we received were from the following countries (graph 1) and from the following types of organizations (graph 2):

From the 36 proposals submitted, 3 of them were not eligible and as a result, 33 were evaluated and 7 were accepted (success rate 21%).

The accepted proposals are from the following countries in pie chart 1 (based on origin of leading proposal organization) and the following types of organizations in visible in pie chart 2.
