At the Mobile World Congress 2026, held from 2–5 March in Barcelona, the 6G-SANDBOX project was hosted at Keysight Technologies’ demo booth.
Our Project Coordinator, Michael Dieudonne, together with Giovanni D’Amore, was present at the booth to answer questions about the project and to run the demo “High-Order MIMO Evaluation”, in collaboration with the CENTRIC Project and Nokia Bell Labs.
We were also honored to welcome the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) team and Ms. Erzsébet Fitori, Executive Director, Mr. Javier Albares, Head of 5G/6G Programs, Mr. Pavlos Fournogerakis, Deputy Head of Programmes and Ms. Chiara Mazzone, Programme Officer.
The demo received very positive feedback from visitors.
Giovanni D’Amore noted ‘As AI-RAN systems scale from SISO to Massive MIMO, generating realistic datasets for AI validation becomes increasingly challenging. In this demo, we show how this challenge can be addressed through a closed-loop RF setup that evaluates a customer’s AI algorithm under real channel conditions.’ Developed in cooperation with Nokia Bell Labs, the demonstration presented an assessment of an AI-based Channel State Information (CSI) compression model using 3GPP-compliant and ray-traced channels. The results illustrate how Keysight solutions help ensure consistent AI performance as RAN complexity and scale continue to grow.
In addition, visitors at the booth could watch videos about the 6G-SANDBOX platform and learn about the project’s outcomes. Thank you all for visiting and for showing interest to our project!

A highly productive and engaging 8th hybrid Plenary Meeting, kindly hosted by Keysight Technologies in Aalborg, on the 11th-13th of March 2026! We’re proud about everything we’ve achieved so far, and excited about what’s ahead.
On 17 February, Adam Flizikowski from IS-Wireless delivered a presentation titled “6G-SANDBOX Experimentation Results and Technical Insights” at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), the Netherlands.
The seminar took place from 10:00–11:00 at the Flux building on campus and was hosted by the CWT/e (Centre for Wireless Technology Eindhoven) research group. The group leaders, represented by Ulf Johannsen, together with colleagues from TU/e who attended the session.
During the seminar, Adam highlighted:
The 6G-SANDBOX toolkit availability
The platform’s support for large-scale trials
Practical experimentation results
Key technical insights on workload placement, drawing from hands-on experience within the project
The discussion that followed was highly engaging. Participants expressed strong interest in:
The possibility of replicating the 6G-SANDBOX setup
The feasibility of interconnecting a local SANDBOX island with existing ones
The session provided an excellent opportunity to present the platform’s capabilities and explore potential collaboration paths with TU/e researchers.
